At a review hearing on 8 January 2026, the Interim Orders Committee continued the suspension on Mr Gropean’s registration for the remainder of the High Court extension. An interim order of conditions was originally imposed on 9 February 2023. At a review hearing on 22 October 2025, the Interim Orders Committee revoked the conditions and imposed an interim order of suspension. The interim order has been extended by the High Court as follows: - On 5 August 2024, extended for 12 months. - On 4 August 2025, extended for 6 months. -On 6 February 2026, extended for 12 months. This will be reviewed within 3 months. This interim order is due to expire on 8 February 2026 and the GDC will be applying to the High Court for a further extension of it. In the event that such an application is granted, the order will be reviewed in accordance with the GDC's statutory requirements.
