Conditions:
1. You must notify the GDC within 7 days of any post you accept for which GDC registration is required and the Commissioning body on whose Dental Performers List you are included.
2. If employed, you must provide contact details of your employer to the GDC within 7 days of this determination and allow the GDC to exchange information with your employer or any contracting body for which you provide dental services.
3. You must inform the GDC within 7 days of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against you, from the date of this determination.
4. You must inform the GDC within 7 days of any complaint made against you, from the date of this determination.
5. You must inform the GDC if you apply for dental employment outside the UK, within 7 days of such an application being made.
6. You must not work as a locum or undertake any out-of-hours work or on-call duties and must not work as a sole practitioner.
7. At any time you are employed, or providing dental services, which require you to be registered with the GDC both as a dentist or a dental care professional, you must place yourself and remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor nominated by you, and agreed by the GDC. The workplace supervisor must be in the same registration category as you or higher.
8. You must not return to work as a dentist or a dental care professional until the workplace supervisor has been approved by the GDC.
9. You must allow the GDC to exchange information with your workplace supervisor referred to in these conditions.
10. You must allow your workplace supervisor to provide reports to the GDC monthly and at least 14 days prior to any review. The reports will include details of the discussions and any action points resulting from the one-to-one meetings and cover (including but not limited to) the following areas of your clinical practice:
• Filling treatments
• Radiographic practice including clinical interpretation
• Treatment planning
• Diagnosis of caries
• Crown treatments
• Denture treatments
• Periodontal disease assessment
• Record keeping
• Communication with patients
11. You must complete and submit a log of all cases you undertake. The log must be approved and signed by your workplace supervisor and sent to the GDC every month and at least 14 days prior to any review hearing.
12. You must inform within 7 days the following parties that your registration is subject to the conditions, listed at 1 to 11 above, and provide evidence to the GDC that this has been done:
a) Any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake dental work;
b) Any prospective employer (at the time of application);
c) The Commissioning Body or Health Board in whose Dental Performers List you are included or seeking inclusion (at the time of application);
d) Every member of the dental team and all employees at the practice(s) where you work. They must also be informed that they should contact the GDC immediately if they are concerned about your fitness to practise and/or your compliance with the conditions;
e) Your workplace supervisor.
13. You must permit the GDC to disclose the conditions, listed at 1 to 12 above, to any person requesting information about your registration status.
* Supervised: the workplace supervisor must supervise the registrant’s day-to-day work in a way prescribed in the relevant condition or undertaking. The workplace supervisor does not need to work at the same practice as the registrant, but they must be available to provide advice or assistance if the registrant needs it. Where the workplace supervisor is unavailable through illness or planned absence, the registrant must not work, unless an approved alternative workplace supervisor is in place. The workplace supervisor must review the registrant’s work at least once a fortnight in one-to one meetings and case-based discussions. These meetings must focus on all areas of concern identified by the conditions or undertakings. These meetings should usually be in person. If this is not possible, at least one of every two fortnightly meetings must be in person.
Registration History:
At a review hearing on 6 May 2026, the Interim Orders Committee varied and continued Mrs Bhardwaj’s conditions for the remainder of the High Court extension.
The order was originally imposed on 25 March 2024 for a period of 18 months.
On 15 September 2025, the High Court extended the order by 12 months.
This will be reviewed in 6 months.
