Conditions:
1. She must within 7 days notify the GDC of any professional appointment she accepts which requires GDC registration and provide the contact details of her employer or any organisation for which she is contracted to provide dental services.
2. She must allow the GDC to exchange information with her employer or any contracting body for which she is contracted to provides dental services.
3. She must inform the GDC within 7 days of any formal or informal disciplinary proceedings taken against her, from the date of this determination.
4. She must inform the GDC within 7 days of any complaints made against her from the date these conditions take effect.
5. She must inform the GDC within 7 days from the date of application, if she applies for dental employment outside the UK.
6. She must not work in any locum post that is less than 6 months in duration or undertake any out-of-hours work or on-call duties.
7. At any time she is employed, or providing dental services, which require her to be registered with the GDC; she must agree to the appointment of a reporter nominated by her and approved by the GDC. The reporter shall be a GDC registrant.
8. She must allow the reporter to provide reports to the GDC at intervals of not more than 3 months and 14 days prior to any review hearing. The report by the Reporter should cover the Registrant’s compliance and confirmation within scope of practice.
9. She must restrict her aesthetic practice to facial (head/neck) aesthetic treatments.
10. She must maintain a log detailing every case where she has provided an aesthetic treatment and provide a copy of the log to the GDC every 3 months and at least 14 days prior to any review hearing or, alternatively, confirm that there have been no such cases.
11. She must inform within one week, the following parties that her registration is subject to the conditions, listed at (1) to (10), above:
a. Any organisation or person employing or contracting with her to undertake dental or cosmetic work.
b. Any prospective employer (at the time of application).
c. The Commissioning Body in whose Dental Performers List she is included, or seeking inclusion (at the time of application)
12. She must permit the GDC to disclose the above conditions, (1) to (11), to any person requesting information about her registration status.
Registration History:
At a review hearing on 6 January 2026, the Interim Orders Committee continued the conditions on Ms Poddar-Ahmad's registration for the remainder of the High Court extension. On 13 May 2026, the High Court extended the order for a further 12 months. The conditions were originally imposed on 07 February 2022 for 18 months. The interim order has been extended by the High Court as follows:
- On 7 August 2023, extended for 10 months.
- On 29 May 2024, extended for 12 months.
- On 20 May 2025, extended for 12 months.
This will be reviewed within 6 months.
