At a review hearing on 17 December 2024 the Interim Orders Committee continued the suspension on Mr Ahitan's registration for the remainder of the High Court extension. The interim order was originally imposed on 17 April 2023 for 18 months. On 7 October 2024 the High Court extended the order for a further 9 and a half months. This will be reviewed in 6 months.

On 20 September 2024 the Professional Conduct Committee hearing was adjourned part-heard with case management directions issued. The findings of fact were previously handed down on 21 November 2022. The hearing is listed to resume at Stage Two, from 30 June to 2 July 2025.
