At a review hearing on 28 January 2026, the Interim Orders Committee continued the suspension on Mr Bala’s registration for the remainder of the High Court extension. An application will be made to extend the order before its expiry. An interim order of conditions was originally imposed on 29 November 2023. At a review hearing on 6 March 2024, the Interim Orders Committee revoked the conditions and imposed an interim order of suspension which was imposed from 6 March 2024. The High Court extended the order on 20 May 2025 for a further 12 months. This interim order is due to expire on 5 June 2026 and the GDC will be applying to the High Court for a further extension of it. In the event that such an application is granted, the order will be reviewed in accordance with the GDC's statutory requirements.
