Conditions:
1. She must notify the GDC within 7 days of any post she accepts for which GDC registration is required and the Commissioning Body on whose Dental Performers List she is included or seeking inclusion (at the time of application).
2. If employed she must provide the contact details of her employer to the GDC within 7 days and allow the GDC to exchange information with her employer or any contracting body for which she provides dental services.
3. She must inform the GDC within 7 days of any formal or informal disciplinary proceedings taken against her, from the date these conditions take effect.
4. She must inform the GDC within 7 days of any complaints.
5. She must inform the GDC within 7 days if she applies for dental employment outside the UK from the date these conditions take effect.
6. At any time she is employed, or providing dental services, which require her to be registered with the GDC, she must place herself and remain under the supervision* of a workplace supervisor nominated by herself and agreed by the GDC. The supervisor should be registered in the same category or higher and be GDC approved.
7. She must provide reports from her workplace supervisor to the GDC every three months and at least 14 days prior to any review hearing. The reports should include details of the discussions and any action points resulting from the one-to-one meetings and cover (including but not limited to) the areas listed within condition 9.
8. She must stop working immediately if her workplace supervisor directs her to do so, and she must inform the GDC within seven days of receiving this direction.
9. She must carry out an audit in the following areas of her practice, record keeping, radiographic practice, obtaining patients’ informed consent and any patient complaints made, every 3 months. The audit must be checked and signed by her workplace supervisor.
10. She must provide a copy of this audit to the GDC every 3 months and at least 14 days prior to any review hearing or, alternatively, provide a statement, which has been counter-signed by her [workplace supervisor], confirming there have been no such cases.
11. She must inform within 7 days the following parties that her registration is subject to the conditions listed above and provide written evidence to the GDC that this has been done within 7 days.
• Any organisation or person employing or contracting with her to undertake dental work
• Any prospective employer (at the time of application)
• The Commissioning Body in whose Dental Performers List she is included, or seeking inclusion (at the time of application)
12. She must permit the GDC to disclose the above conditions, 1 to 11, to any person requesting information about her registration status.
*Closely supervised: the workplace supervisor must supervise the registrant’s day-to-day work in a way prescribed in the relevant condition or undertaking. The workplace supervisor must always be on site and available when the registrant is working. Where the workplace supervisor is unavailable through illness or planned absence, the registrant must not work unless an approved alternative workplace supervisor is in place.
The workplace supervisor must review the registrant’s work at least twice a week in one-to-one meetings using case-based discussions. These meetings must focus on all areas of concern identified by the conditions or undertakings. These meetings can be in person or via video conferencing.”
Registration History:
On 23 June 2025 the Interim Orders Committee imposed conditions on Ms Wood's registration for a period of 18 months.
This will be reviewed in 6 months.
