Conditions:
1. You must notify the GDC within 7 days of any professional appointment you accept or are currently undertaking and provide the full name and contact details of your employer, any organisation for which you have a contract or arrangement to provide dental services and all the NHS regional teams/Health Boards with whom you have an arrangement, either as a contract holder or by being on their Dental Performers’ List. 2. You must allow the GDC to exchange information with your employer, any organisation for which you have a contract or arrangement to provide dental services, all the NHS regional teams/Health Boards with whom you have an arrangement. 3. You must inform the GDC within 7 days of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against you from the date these conditions take effect. 4. You must inform the GDC within 7 days of any complaints made against you from the date these conditions take effect. 5. You must inform the GDC within 7 days if you apply for dental employment outside the UK from the day these conditions take effect. 6. You must inform the GDC if you are registered or apply for registration with any overseas regulator/relevant authority, within 7 days of the date of the application or 7 days from the date of this determination if already registered. 7. At any time you are providing any aspect of remote orthodontic dental services, which require you to be registered with the GDC, you must place yourself and remain under the *supervision of a Workplace Supervisor nominated by you, and agreed by the GDC. The Workplace Supervisor must be in the same category of the GDC Register or higher. 8. If you have not provided any aspect of remote orthodontic dental services, you must provide a statement to the GDC, at least 21 days prior to any review hearing, confirming that you have not provided any such services. 9. You must not start or restart providing any aspect of remote orthodontic dental services until your workplace supervisor has been approved by the GDC. 10. You must present the workplace supervisor with a copy of the IOC initial determination and a copy of the papers placed before this Committee. You must provide written evidence to the GDC of having done so within 7 days of the workplace supervisor being approved. 11. You must permit the GDC and the workplace supervisor to exchange information. 12. At any time you are providing any aspect of remote orthodontic dental services, you must maintain logs of the following: • Records of scans and moulds (impressions); • Patient treatment plans; including assessments of expected costs; • Pre-treatment warnings and risk assessments, which must be communicated to the patient; • Clinical notes to include full assessment of the patient’s oral health.
13. The logs must be signed by your workplace supervisor; and must be supplied to the GDC every three months and at least 21 days prior to any review hearing. 14. You must provide your workplace supervisor reports to the GDC at intervals of three months and at least 21 days prior to any review hearing. These reports should include full details of discussions with the workplace supervisor, a review of the logs and any action points resulting from the meetings with your supervisor. 15. You must inform within 7 days the following parties that your registration is subject to the conditions (1) to (14) above; (and provide evidence to the GDC to confirm that this has been done); a. Any organisation or person employing or contracting with you to undertake dental work; b. Any prospective employer (at the time of application); and c. The Commissioning Body or Health Board in whose Dental Performers List you are included or seeking inclusion (at the time of application). 16. You must permit the GDC to disclose the above conditions (1) to (15) to any person requesting information about your registration status. *Supervised: The registrant’s day to day work must be supervised by a person who is registered with the GDC in their category of the register or above. The supervisor need not work at the same practice as the registrant but must make themselves available to provide advice or assistance should they be required. The registrant’s work must be reviewed at least once fortnightly by the supervisor via one-to-one meetings and case-based discussion. These fortnightly meetings must be focused on all areas of concern identified by the conditions/undertakings. These meetings should take place face to face however, as a minimum, at least one of the two meetings must be face to face per month.
Registration History:
At a review hearing on 12 January 2026, the Interim Orders Committee continued the conditions on Mr Valadas Marques's registration for the remainder of the 12 month High Extension Order. The order was originally imposed on 8 August 2024 for 15 months. On 6 November 2025, the High Court extended the Interim order for 12 months. This will be reviewed in 3 months.
